Smell the smell of oil. Generally, engine oil has a mild odor. If there is a strong odor, especially from fuel, it may be from recycled oil.

Check the quality level label of the oil. According to API standards, the later the English letters in the quality level label, the better the performance (for example, SL level is better than SG level, CF-4 level is better than CD level).

Check the viscosity level label of the oil. At the same quality level, the greater the difference between the numbers before and after the viscosity level marked W, the wider the applicable temperature range, and the higher the performance of the oil.

How to use car lubricating oil (engine oil)?

The selection of engine oil is very particular, and car owners can consider the local highest and lowest temperatures, vehicle grade, and condition when choosing engine oil.
